Born in Seoul in 1974, Kim Bosung graduated from Chung-Ang University with a major in photography and entered the fashion photography scene as an assistant from fashion photographer Kim Sang-gon. He then worked based out of New York and completed his master's degree in video art at New York University, where he took part in the Skowhegan school of Painting and Sculpture residency Program. His studio in Seoul, “Kim Bo-sung Photography”, was established in 2005 and shows his work in fashion magazines and taken abroad every month. He won the “Creativity Division” award at the 2006 Arena+Audi Black Color Walker Awards, and was also named the photographer of the year by the FGI World Fashion Group in 2012. He is currently the CEO of the Play Studio Inc. and has been the photo director of <VOGUE KOREA> since 2016.
